Directorate of ResourceManagement and the Environment is tasked with ensuring the effective functioning of the following areas of otherwise referred to as committees: 1) Agriculture and Agribusiness, 2) Health Services, 3) Social Service, 4) Cleaning Services, and 5) Business Development. The directorate is the overseeing entity that directs, guides, coordinates the activities of the committee, and is the representative body that sits at the BDI executive representing the interests of the committees of the respective functional committees.
Summary
Agriculture & Agribusiness: The committee is tasked with the development of the agricultural concerns and interests of the URR. This committee aims to rejuvenate the agriculture sector in URR through availing the necessary technical assistance, and where possible through availing financial, human, and material resources. The overall aim is to complement the ministry of Agriculture in URR for better farming outcomes and improved productivity of our farmers.
Health Services: The committee is tasked with the development of the health sector in the URR. This committee aims to provide complementarity to the health sector through availing the necessary technical assistance, and where possible through availing financial, human, and material resources for the improvement of health facilities and the proper maintenance of healthcare equipment. The committee also aims to act as an advocacy committee to solicit financial and material resources for effective and efficient health service delivery.
Social Services: The committee aims to intervene where necessary for the provision of various social services that include family or individual support for the less fortunate in our communities, and render support to physically, or psychologically challenged persons. The committee will intervene in cases of challenges that may arise in times of difficulties faced by families in maintaining family cohesion and meeting their needs.
Cleaning Services: This committee aims to engage in the general environmental concern to keep our homes and surroundings as healthy as possible. The committee intends to complement the Basse Area Council in environmental activities that will reverse or avert even the most minimal environmental degradation. The committee aims to work with all stakeholders for the protection of our surroundings and the overall environment. The committee expects to mobilize groups and community advocacy groups for the proper upkeep of our communities.
Business Development: This committee is tasked with sourcing ways and means to identify potential revenue streams for tapping funds for BDI. The committee is tasked with the responsibility to negotiate where necessary, the best interests of the BDI.
