The Directorate of Youths, Sports, Women & Cultural Affairs is a challenge BDI has taken up to enhance the livelihood of our youths, promote sports, empower women, and enrich our culture. Below, each section is described accordingly.
BDI Youths Affairs have the desire to empower the youths in the Region such that they become productive participants. In Basse`s long term economic and social development programmes, providing critical interventions and social support systems.BDI are determined to achieve this by giving young people the chance to survive, acquire the essential tools of life .An opportunity to succeed , we believe that the fundamental need of productive young people are nutrition, health, education, skills and self-confidence and manage their own future.
BDI Sports Affairs, are working very hard to offer youths the opportunity and facilities to nurture their skills and talents. It can therefore not be argued that idleness breeds crime and other numerous malpractices that can only lead to destruction of young individuals and their communities. Most of them have given up hopes, have buried their talents and indulge in activities such as drug abuse and crime.
BDI sports must come to realize that working in partnership with the government as well as otherstakeholders, young people can be given the opportunity of making it in life through sports.
BDI is ready to restore the hopes of young people in URR because it is an urgent need to build the Basse High Level football field. That shall provide maximal solid training facilities and equipment for the development of the talents of the young peoples. We all know that football has bridged racial, tribal, divided and brought people of other nations into union of oneness.
BDi wants to use the same strategy through sport-based programmes that combine the complementary discipline for the youths in URR. A game of football that can result in skill development in our region.
Since URR has a very rich culture and culture is passed on from generation to generation. With the huge community based on different cultural backgrounds BDI wants these fading cultures to be back again because the culture of people is what make them distinctively from other human societies in the World. Basse used to have a dynamic culture, these peculiar traits goes on to include people’s language Dressing, Music work, Arts, dancing and even Religion. It also includes people’s social life, norms, taboos, and concepts.
BID cultural committee is trying to make it necessary for all people to understand the concept of our culture and what it means for our existence. The fundamental principles of culture are topractise the values and pass it on to the succeeding generation and the committee will be creative in organising cultural events every year to bring back memories again
Since Religion is a very important part of our lives, we offer weekly Quranic and any other Religious sermons from our able scholars. For spiritual consultations.Farsighted men of wisdom who always prepare in advance for any possible questions affecting our society. Humans are creatures of habit with an insatiable need for Religion.
BDI therefore is committed to spiritual teaching of the Holy Quran to the members and all other Religious beliefs. the quickest way to secure people’s mind is by demonstrating as simply as possible. As we all know that Religion teaches people to be humble, better people. This is simply the ability not to mimic another person, notphysically, but psychologically and its immensely powerful because it plays upon unsatisfied self-love or destruction in life.
Life in this World is very short, the torment in the next is very bitter and endless so let’s use the opportunity the BDI offers.
Women are the backbone of every nation and we want to ensure sustainability and security for the women in URR. The task is very challenging when it comes to the concept of our society towards women.
BDI will do everything possible to change these concepts by providing leadership roles for women. We will also encourage our government to implement laws and incredible measures to reduce the gap between gender lines. Women contribute a lot to the economy of URR and we will do our best to establish a sustainable development program, like drilling Boreholes, Gardening equipment, and a very stable market where to sell goods.
BDI breaks barriers for women and it’s time to explore alternatives sustainable development programme.
